I tend to want all of
my blog posts to be profound and wise. I want to say something that encompasses
all of my emotions, properly commemorates the moments, and I want to inspire someone. Or everyone. The end result is that I do not
blog as often as I would like. Wisdom eludes me and I decide not to take the
time needed to accomplish the greatness I aspire to. In 2015, I plan to toss
all of that out the window and blog more often. I’m sorry in advance…or you’re
welcome. However you want to look at it. There will probably be more pictures
and fewer words. Maybe. I have always struggled with using fewer words.
The 2014 holiday season was filled to the brim with festivities.
Thank goodness for online shopping, and that my family lives relatively close
by. As mentioned in a previous blog post, Madison attended her first Winter
Formal.
In the Christmas concert at school, Madison played her
flute, both with the band and in a quintet. Jaron shocked us all with a
speaking part, and Megan sang with gusto and was the picture of a lady
throughout her first ever school program.
My little family of
five enjoyed a cookie decorating/hot chocolate bar event (complete with a visit
from Santa) that can only be found in rural America.
We shared quality time with some cousins and Aunt Cathy in
which we ate Mexican and went to see Christmas lights.
We got a new puppy, Ridge. He doesn’t know it yet, but he is
going to be a spectacular dog.
Family time was a blast this year. Board games and Trivia
Crack all around. I have my sister back, and our family is growing by leaps and
bounds. I am so proud of the choices some of my favorite guys are making when
adding ladies to our family (nice job, Blaine, Logan, & Lance;). A good woman only makes a great guy even
better!
Apparently I am still cool enough to be in selfies.
I attended these events with a bearded man.
My brother pulled off wearing red skinny jeans.
There. Consider the holidays commemorated.
